1917 act as consultants to a number of labels and artists. With their vast experience across many facets of the music industry, they are able to assist in putting teams together and overseeing many areas of activity. For independent labels they can act as marketing consultants, co-ordinating all aspects of the marketing mix, employing suitable agencies and individuals to bolster the team as well as undertaking specific activity themselves.
As consultants to management, they work closely with artist managers in advising them of the best routes to take, and introducing them to the right people to take them there.
One act that 1917 have worked very closely with is the brilliant Liverpool band Rebbeca. Their manager has been superb at building up a strong following for the band, who can boast the feat of being the only unsigned band able to headline the 1,200 capacity Academy in their home town. He approached us to open our address books and help him bring in the support team that the band richly deserved. We have been working on a simple small retainer with the management since October 2006 and in that time the band have appointed a leading agent - who secured them a place as the only unsigned band at the V festival in 2007, strong national and regional pluggers and PR, a highly experienced A&R co-ordinator and the UK's top club promotion team. In addition to this the band are now working with one of the biggest producers in the business on their album. Rebbeca's next single is out very soon. This band are going places.
